Dear
Sir,
I found some very good books on presentations which I think will be
great for this course:
What's Your Point? The 3 step method for making effective presentations.
Create High Impact Business Presenations.
Here is our proposal. If you feel there is anything lacking or if you would
like to make some changes please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm trying
to find some video and audio material to compliment this course, I think
they would be a very useful added value.
I will be in touch after the Easter holidays. Regards
Guy Taaffe.

STRUCTURE
5 levels of 48 hours each. The material will be split into four parts and will thus correspond to the 4 levels of this course. There will be a short progress exam at the mid point of each level of the course (after 24 hours) to assess students progress and a final exam at the end.
Each
class will begin with a short review of the vocabulary and grammar structures
learned previously in the course.
Presentation skills: Students will follow the material with the teacher
with an emphasis on practice and style correction. Here students will have
the opportunity to rehearse their own business presentations with the teacher
correcting mistakes and suggesting improvements.
Business Writing: Students will follow the Business writing material
with the teacher. They will then put this into practice, either in the class
or for homework, by writing business letters, reports e-mails etc. The teacher
will correct their work reviewing and explaining the mistakes openly in
class so all the students can benefit.
Listening practice: Following
the video and audio material related to the course students will practice
their listening skills for varying accents. The fact that the teachers for
this course are native speakers and will be changed frequently is an added
value here.
Fluency and Pronuciation: Finance/Business
and general conversational English. Here students will read a short article
connected with the world of finance and business reviewing the vocabulary
and pronunciation with the teacher. The teacher will then make conversation
around the theme getting students to practice new vocabulary and structures
while at the same time correcting their mistakes and explaining the grammar.
