Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations made without 24 hours notice will be billed
We allow a maximum of 2 cancellations with 24 hours notice per calendar month
Cancellations for official public holidays are not billed
Teacher cancellations are not billed and will be replaced

INTERMEDIATE II

For students who are capable English speakers and who have studied English for a considerable time before. They are able to express teir wants and needs effectively although they lack vocabulary and their pronunciation is lacking. They can hold a conversation both face to face and on the phone. Again their main problem is fluency and vocabulary. They make many common mistakes and often have to think in order to find the vocabulary they require. Their listening skills are also lacking, they can understand only parts in films and ask speakers to repeat. Their fluency level is around 60% upon entry to the course.

Grammar Objetives

Review and reinforce previous course objectives :

• The gerund and the infinitive- gerund words/expressions, gerund after preposition
• Use prepositions- to, at, in, on, with, about
• Non count and count nouns used properly with quantifiers-plenty, a bit ,many, much etc..
• When + present tense
• Can and be able to -whats the difference
• Reflexive pronouns - myself, yourself, ....
• Simple phrasal verbs 2 - see list
• Make and do - No. 2 see list
• So, such, such a / an - too, too much / many
• Allowed to/supposed to

Oral Objetives

Students should be proficient in the followinge.

• Use in sentence and question form all the main tenses.
• Use the infinitive and gerund correctly with used to, be used to, look forward to
  and after prepositions
• Use the passive correctly
• Use the definite article correctly
• Use the conditionals
• Use modals in both the present and the past
• Employ the phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions included on the course
